Tanguy Ndombele ‘Ready’ to Quit Spurs After José Mourinho’s Quarantine Breach as Barcelona Ready Bid

?Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is reportedly eager to leave the club this summer if his situation shows no sign of improving, with Barcelona ready to offer him an escape route.

The Frenchman has started just four league games under current boss José Mourinho, who has rarely hesitated to ?criticise Ndombele for failing to live up to his expectations.

As noted by ?L’Équipe, the Frenchman really isn’t happy with life at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and the report goes as far as to claim that he has already informed his agents that he wants a move away from the club this summer if he doesn’t receive certain assurances about the future.

While his relationship with Mourinho has never been the strongest, it took a turn for the worse recently when Ndombele was one of several players spotted out training with the boss, despite being urged to stay at home by the government during the coronavirus outbreak.

According to the report, Ndombele had just finished his morning workout on Tuesday when Mourinho rang his doorbell and told him to come outside for a run – an incident which has been widely criticised by both fans and ?Spurs officials.

That situation is believed to have left Ndombele questioning whether staying with the club would be a good idea, and the uncertainty around his future has piqued the interest of ?Barcelona.

Barça’s desire to sign Ndombele was ?revealed by a Spanish report in late March, but L’Équipe go as far as to suggest that the Catalans have already reached out to Ndombele’s representatives to let them know of their interest.

?Foot Mercato also note that Paris Saint-Germain are keen on luring the 23-year-old away from Spurs, so Ndombele would have plenty of options to consider if he does decide to push for an exit this summer.

Spurs would undoubtedly be keen to keep the midfielder, who became their record signing when he sealed his £53.8m move to the club last summer. He still remains under contract until 2025, so Spurs will be under no pressure to accept any bids, but Ndombele could change that by attempting to force an exit.

Both Barcelona and PSG were keen on Ndombele last summer, and this year could finally be their chance to land him.
