?Chelsea winger Pedro has confessed that he would not hesitate to accept a return to Barcelona if they came calling in the near future.
A product of the Barcelona academy, Pedro spent 17 years with the first team at Camp Nou before sealing a switch to Chelsea back in 2015. With Barcelona, he won five La Liga titles and lifted the Champions League on three occasions.
?Pedro’s contract at Stamford Bridge is set to expire at the end of the season, and a new deal does not appear to be on the table. He has featured in just three of his side’s last 17 league games, and looks to be nearing the exit door.
Speaking to ?L’Esportiu, Pedro described his time with ?Barcelona as some of the best moments of his life, and he admitted that he longs to return to the club one day.
“If they call me, I’d leave it all,” Pedro admitted.
“But the door closed quickly. At this moment, I don’t know what is going to happen to me, only that I finish my contract at ?Chelsea at the end of the season.”
This is not the first time that Pedro has spoken about Barcelona. The Spaniard only recently ?discussed his ‘wish’ to head back to the Camp Nou, and he has made it abundantly clear that he wants to return to the club.
There is no indication as to whether Barcelona would even want to bring him back. Such a move is by no means out of the question entirely, but Pedro would only ever be a backup at Camp Nou, with the likes of ?Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann and even 17-year-old Ansu Fati ahead of him in the pecking order.
Instead, a move to ?West Ham United has been suggested, but Pedro admitted he was unsure about such a ?transfer.
“I don’t know, we’ll see,” he said. “What I know is that I want to continue having fun playing football.”
