Mane and Coutinho lead Premier League creativity chart

The Liverpool duo have created more than any other playmaking pairing in English football’s top flight

As Premier League title-challenging markers go, Liverpool’s 6-1 mauling of Watford on Sunday is among the more impressive.

The Reds were unplayable at times in front of their own supporters, with the Anfield faithful lapping up a dominant display which epitomised what Jurgen Klopp’s side are all about.

Attacking verve, pace, movement, opportunities aplenty – not to mention the six goals – the red half of Merseyside really is rocking at the moment.

‘Liverpool playing better than anyone’

They have every reason to be buoyant as well, with a demolition job on the Hornets lifting Liverpool to the top of the table.

It was a near-perfect display from Klopp’s troops, with his creative talents illuminating what looked to be a tricky test on paper.

Sadio Mane helped himself to another two goals, while Philippe Coutinho was also on target and collected another assist.

The Senegal and Brazil internationals are causing opponents nightmares at present, with 11 Premier League goals and seven assists between them.

The statistic above suggests that return could have been even greater as well, with the dynamic duo showing themselves to be the Premier League’s most difficult playmaking threat to contain.
