Barcelona Twitter Goes Into Meltdown Following Derby Draw & #ValverdeOut Trends – Again

?Happy new decade, Barcelona supporters! 

There is no better way to start off a new era in football, than with a derby against your rivals in a must-win match for your title hopes. 

Unless you don’t win, obviously. 

Barcelona are in a serious fight for the La Liga trophy this season, with Real Madrid leading the charge before kick-off, and Atlético Madrid breathing down their necks. 

So the Derbi Barceloní presented la Blaugrana with the chance to leapfrog los Merengues at the summit of Spanish football once again, and further deepen their rivals’ relegation fears.

Espanyol were marooned at the bottom of the table, and yet to score in the first half of a football match at home this season. An easy three points for their Catalan rivals, right? 

Wrong. 


Espanyol took the lead, breaking their first-half-home hoodoo and breaking Barça hearts at the same time.
